@ 12:18 AMRelative/Absolute Poverty
It is now 0018 hours. And I still can't sleep. So,I am just going around the thingy called the web.Play games, quit.Search random videos, quit.Back to games, and so on.So,yeah,I am staring at the screen most of the time.I love the colourful lights that Abah fixed at the window.I hope he can get off work on Raya.Get a car too.I love my new baju raya.I am happy with the fact that we have all the things that we want on the table,in the kitchen,in my closet,in the shoe box.I especially want to see Adila happy. But I watched the news.Where in certain unfortunate countries, they are given a plate of porridge.PER FAMILY.And here we are wondering what to do with the leftover food.Astaghfirullah halazim.I am willing to sacrifice Adila's happiness to give them at least half-full stomachs. But then again, can I bear to take it away from my little sister? That'd be unfair to her.Dilemma. I really am selfish. Up,up and away |

Monday, August 23, 2010 @ 5:04 PMChuck you
Took out my Chem Bonding notes and my half-done mindmap.Drew an oval. Threw away my pencil, then crushed the mindmap and threw it into a corner. Chucked away my Chem stuffs. Took out Math Applications of Differentiation and foolscap pad. Stared and stared (and stared). Chucked it into the corner too. Took out Bio DNA and Genomics. Stared and stared (and stared). Threw that aside too. Stared at Geog notes. No,I don't want to add another thing to 'the corner'. Stared at this wretched thingy. Maybe I should chuck it into 'the corner' someday too. Aaaah so much chucking goin' on. I hate the near-the-exams period. That's where all the 'kick' comes in. Up,up and away |

@ 1:49 PMAWH
I remember the story: John Blanchard stood up from the bench, straightened his Army uniform, and studied the crowd of people making their way through Grand Central Station. He looked for the girl whose heart he knew, but whose face he didn't, the girl with the rose. His interest in her had begun thirteen months before in a Florida library. Taking a book off the shelf he found himself intrigued, not with the words of the book, but with the notes penciled in the margin. The soft handwriting reflected a thoughtful soul and insightful mind.In the front of the book, he discovered the previous owner's name, Miss Holly Maynell. With time and effort he located her address. She lived in New York City. He wrote her a letter introducing himself and inviting her to correspond. The next day he was shipped overseas for service in World War II. During the next year and one month, the two grew to know each other through the mail. Each letter was a seed falling on a fertile heart. A romance was budding. Blanchard requested a photograph, but she refused. She felt that if he really cared, it wouldn't matter what she looked like When the day finally came for him to return from Europe, they scheduled their first meeting - 7.00 p.m. at the Grand Central Station in New York. "You'll recognize me," she wrote, "by the red rose I'll be wearing on my lapel." So at 7.00 p.m. he was in the station looking for a girl whose heart he loved, but whose face he'd never seen. I'll let Mr. Blanchard tell you what happened: A young woman was coming toward me, her figure long and slim. Her blonde hair lay back in curls from her delicate ears; her eyes were blue as flowers. Her lips and chin had a gentle firmness, and in her pale green suit she was like springtime come alive. I started toward her, entirely forgetting to notice that she was not wearing a rose. As I moved, a small provocative smile curved her lips. "Going my way, sailor?" she murmured. Almost uncontrollably, I made one step closer to her, and then I saw Holly Maynell. She was standing almost directly behind the girl. A woman well past 40, she had graying hair tucked under a worn hat. She was more than plump, her thick-ankled feet thrust into low-heeled shoes. The girl in the green suit was walking quickly away. I felt as though I was split in two, so keen was my desire to follow her, and yet so deep was my longing for the woman whose spirit had truly companioned me and upheld my own. And there she stood. Her pale, plump face was gentle and sensible, her gray eyes had a warm and kindly twinkle. I did not hesitate. My fingers gripped the small worn blue leather copy of the book that was to identify me to her. This would not be love, but it would be something precious, something perhaps even better than love, a friendship for which I had been and must ever by grateful. I squared my shoulders and saluted and held out the book to the woman, even though while I spoke I felt choked by the bitterness of my disappointment. "I'm Lieutenant John Blanchard, and you must be Miss Maynell. I am so glad you could meet me; may I take you to dinner?" The woman's face broadened into a tolerant smile. "I don't know what this is about, son," she answered, "but the young lady in the green suit who just went by, she begged me to wear this rose on my coat. And she said if you were to ask me out to dinner, I should tell you that she is waiting for you in the big restaurant across the street. She said it was some kind of test!" Up,up and away |

"OMG heartless! You want me to fail???" "Well....not that I want, but you yourself should know..." *gives an evil face* "WTS fine. Then sadly, you shall live.." "HAHAHAHAHAH!" But it has taken a toll on my health, sadly, considering that I kept sleeping late everyday just to complete work everyday.I ain't complainin',just saying.Coz I know I am not the only one suffering from overloaded school work. I tear everytime I talk, and when I stopped halfway some ppl thought that I was being rude coz....I don't know what they're thinking lahh.So...I hope sucking on strepsils will help, even if it's just by a smidge. NO school on monday and tuesday. Alhamdulillah. Extra sleeping time. "The most wasted day is that in which we have not laughed." - Chamfort Labels: sick; laughter Up,up and away |

So loooong :( Hah so am just back from her hse, helped her pack her barang-barang.Lol if they said that anth above 20kg is chargeable, then can't they introduce a luggage bag that's like....lighter or something?Coz judging by the looks of it,it's a little over 20kg?Ayeshah,tell me k. Basically, today had lessons, celebrations, remedial(IKR) then lunch with Hanis Zi Ayeshah (she came later though)and Huda too (heh just got to know her, very nice person ,oh and i love her hair colour!).Went to Shah's hse after, and whee the fun begins. ![]() I lost my head. And there's lovely Yaya. Tomorrow is going to be National Day celebration, and I think I'm kinda looking forward to it. It's been like packed days this whole month (or rather the last month) and I realise that time has been flying really fast. It's like, before I know it,morning has arrived. It's like time doesn't want to wait for me.But well,it doesnt wait for anyone. Finally,I'll get to have a break with some dearies tmr.Like at long last. Sigh. I just miss loads of ppl now. A lot. @ 12:33 AM![]() I want to watch Sesame Street. And eat this. Anw Is it really that hard to just do something so simple? Something that even I can do in one day? I mean, come on.The others would agree. That is saying something. But you.....are a different story. A whole new dimension. It's like you're a......an air-headed heiress who resides in a revolting body of a man. You are as dumb as you look then. Sorry, but you asked for it. Anw,WR is torture. And so is EoM.Nothing seems to be good!GAH. But everything else is working well for me,at least. Teachers are now becoming a little.....uptight?Like they weren't before, but still. That's a good sign, that they want us to do well.I mean, that's why they become teachers right?Coz they want to pass on the knowledge etc.But then again, does this apply to all?HEHE Friday is celebrations.Red and white.I don't have any white pants, coz I know full well that they'll come back grey.I love white, but sitting down on white pants is very paranoi-ing.Ibu bought a pair for me anw, thanks Ibu :D Oh and Hanisah has a buddy from Brunei,Azida. My plan was to scare her off,but well, its not nice to do that.I alr made friends with her.Nice girl :D Now shall be....... SLEEP. Up,up and away |

Tuesday, August 3, 2010 @ 8:50 PMI even collect Singapore's.The really old ones, you know? The ones with a bird,a ship, orchid. I have been looking for the banana money. And you know the really old $2 note? The one which is orange in colour?Yeah,I have that. And the old $20 note, the brown one. The many different kinds of $5 note. And the old one that's less green, yeah I have that too. Not to mention the many many kinds of $1 note that's from like what,my Atok's generation?Yeah, pretty notes. Don't forget the $5 and $10 notes that you can still see being used in supermarkets? The paper ones, not the plastic.Uhuh,I won't want to lose that. I even collect the new notes, the plastic ones, just in case. I have the new Singapore-Brunei (well not really new)$20 note.Very nice note there. Let's just say there are quite a number of Singapore currency/notes there.I never,I repeat,NEVER had any intention to use them, even though I can,but I chose not to.I'd go through them and in a way I learn history too. They'r like very dear to me,coz I starve myself (not really lahh, just tahan) to obtain some of the notes, coz they're still of value you know. And imagine I started doing that when I was younger. Just imagine almost ALL of them gone. I am heart-broken. And I was a happy kid a few moments ago. Up,up and away |

Monday, August 2, 2010 @ 9:46 PMWhat more do you want, honestly? She got you what you wanted right?Everything.almost.I don't get whatever I wanted,to tell you the truth.I wondered why you get more than me.Childish, immature thoughts,I know.I can't help it,somehow. But the more I think of it,the more I understand. She knows that I am able to think rationally, and sensibly as to why that is so.I am able to,that's why I am okay with it.She is sincere in what she's doing, and I can see that. She lets you go out,for whatever reasons whilst I am not able to,whatever my reasons.See the fairness in that? No?Anw,I just feel that she should do what she is doing.Yet,no fruit is beared.Only weeds that took advantage of the soil.I can't see why that is so,truthfully. I just can't. That's why,I shall not do what you did. I never will. Up,up and away |
